The speedy Corsair debuted as the 1st US fighter plane to overcome the 400mph (644km/h) barrier. However the initial production version of this aircraft, the F4U-1 "Birdcage", was not without its problems. The port wing stall often gave the Corsair unstable landing, and the long nose and framed canopy hindered visibility. These weak points necessitated the development of improved versions such as the latter developed F4U-1A with 18cm raised cockpit and raised rear landing gear. The F4U-1D featured clear vision canopy (two side frames removed) and had two pylons under the center wing section that could carry up to a 1,000lb bomb payload. In 1944 the F4U-1D Corsair was formally deployed as a carrier based aircraft. This kit reproduces the double-wheel version of the "Moto-Tug" with minimal parts for ease of assembly. Currently, decals for the replication of three different planes are planned to be included in this kit. Driver figure as well as two types of tow bars (main landing gear strut type and rear landing gear strut type) for "Moto-Tug" will also be included.

Most sailing ships achieved fame in seafaring history through sea battles, but some gained it through exploration. On 27th December 1831, H.M.S. Beagle, a brig built in 1817, sailed from Devenport, England on a five year expedition round the globe. At the invitation of the Captain and naturalist Robert Fitzroy, the young natural scientist Charles Darwin was also on board. The observations made by him during the voyage on the evolution of life and the origin of species formed the basis of the Darwin Theory, which made him one of the most important scientists of all time. This historic voyage went via Brazil, Chile, the Galapagos Islands, Tahiti, New Zealand and the Cape of Good Hope and back to England, where they arrived on 2.10.1836. Many species were brought back with them as specimens of their revolutionary findings. In the history of drag racing, theres never been another driver quite like Jungle Jim Liberman. His trademark maneuver - driving backwards at 100 mph speeds following a burnout - always managed to entertain spectators each and every race. His flamboyant personality extended to the paint scheme on his cars, like this 72 Vega Pro Stocker, which features a cartoon Jungle Jim sporting shades and flame-streaked hair. Kit features a one-piece tubular chassis, a flip-top Vega body, a replica blown fuel engine, narrow front tires, super-wide slicks, mag wheels and chrome-plated parts. With its front mounted supercharger, the 4.5 litre Bentley became the quintessential British sports car of the 1920s and 1930s. It was shaped from the earlier 4-cylinder 3 litre, but produced substantially more power with its blown engine. As such, it was a stunning road car and a perfect contender for endurance racing. Due to its dramatic appearances at Le Mans and successes in speed trials at the Brooklands circuit, racing and winning became synonymous with Bentley during this period and few other models capture this image as well as the 4.5 litre Bentley.

The Basis of the Gepard weapon system is the remarkable Oerlikon-Contraves 35mm which was developed and put into production in the early 1960's. During the 1960's, two prototypes were produced. The Oerlikon, which was chosen for production, became the Flakpanzer Gepard, which was essentially a standard Leopard with the ordinary turret replaced by the Oerlikon-Contraves twin 35/90mm AA turret and associated auxiliary equipment.
In the First World War history was written by Baron Manfred von Richthofen in his red Fokker tri-plane. The Dr. 1 was the most manoeuvrable of all the aircraft in use and achieved high rates of climb. The Dr. 1 that was delivered to the troops in June 1917 was withdrawn from the front at the end of 1917, but Richthofen continued to fly it until April 1918. On 21st April 1918 von Richthofen was killed when his plane was shot down at low altitude by Australian machine gunners. Details include fine surface details, detailed cockpit with joystick and seat, two detailed Spandau MG's, detailed radial engine and movable propeller Decals for 2 versions Contains 37 pieces Scale 1:72
The Panzerkampfwagen IV was Germany's most important tank during the second world war. It remained in mass production throughout the conflict, with more than 8,000 units being produced. This represented more than one-third of Germany's total wartime tank production. It was the backbone of the Panzer Divisions and it was often referred to as their "Workhorse" The Pz.Kpfw. IV underwent constant improvement throughout its long career. As an example, its original short-barreled 7.5cm main gun was replaced with the long barreled 7.5cm KwK40 L/43 gun beginning with the Ausf.F2 version. The further improved 7.5cm KwK40 L/48 was added to the Ausf.H onwards. In 1944 however, with the introduction of the new Panther and Tiger tanks, plus other tactical considerations, the Pz.Kpfw. IV began to serve mainly in a defensive capacity. A need was required to simplify construction and increase productivity, plus conserve scarce raw materials. The last of the series, the Ausf.J thus had a much simpler construction, and an extra fuel tank replaced the auxiliary engine/generator. This greatly increased its range from 210km to 320km and was welcomed by the German troops, as they were having difficult with their supply, but it was attained at the expense of electric power for the turret traversing motor. The thin steel plates known as Schurzen (skirts), first introduced with the Ausf.G, were sometimes replaced with heavy gauge wire mesh, or not even used at all.
