| Plymouth 426 Hemi Cuda EngineThe mighty 426 Hemi engine was arguably the most feared and legendary power plant to appear in the muscle car era. Available only until 1971, emissions standards forced it into obsolescence; it possessed an astonishing 425 hp with 490 foot-pounds of torque. Standard on the Hemi Cuda was a shaker fully functional air scoop. Aptly named as it was mounted directly to the engine - poking up through a hole in the hood and thus shook when the engine did. The relatively high cost of the Hemi engine option, nearly a third of the base model cost, meant low production numbers. Today the rarity of these cars with Hemi engines and collector interest in them has commanded incredible price appreciation with private sales reportedly occurring at over a million dollars. 1/6 Scale. | Corvette 327 Fuel Injected EngineThe hottest engine set-up for the mid-sixties Corvette® was the L84 327 cubic inch small block V8 with the Rochester constant flow fuel injection unit. Originally appearing in the 1957 models, the fuelie was refined to the point where small blocks so equipped were developing 375 horsepower by 1964. Chevy L89 Big Block EngineThe newest addition to our popular line of metal and plastic 1:6 scale engine kits, the Chevy® Big Block 427 V-8. This engine found its way into many Chevy models during the 1960's and was one of the most feared motors on the street. With three two-barrel carbs, it cranked out 435 horsepower. This new Revell kit is painted in a correct shade of Chevy Engine Orange with silver on the cylinder heads to simulate the rare L89 aluminum heads. Highly detailed as you would expect including chrome plated plastic valve covers and air cleaner, fuel and vacuum lines, ignition wiring and rubber fan belts.
